Gwinnett County Public Schools to host parent information session

Gwinnett County parent mentors will be collaborating with Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Special Education Department on August 22 to host “Starting the School Year on a Positive Note” to help parents and students get back to a positive school routine after the summer break. 
 
The Information session will be presented by Parent Mentor Dawn Albanese, and is highly recommended for parents of students of all levels. Attendees of the session will learn about Parent Engagement, Effective Communication, Daily Routines, Self-Determination, Record Keeping, Self-Care, and most importantly, how to get a great start to the new school year. 
 
An in person session will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center,  located at 437 Old Peachtree Road, NW, Suwanee, Ga. 30024 Building 200, Central Gwinnett Room 2.111. Click here to register.  
 
A virtual session will also be hosted on zoom later in the day from  6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. To register for the zoom session, click here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
