Girl flown to Egleston Hospital after Lake Lanier boating incident

A 10-year-old girl was flown to a hospital in Atlanta on Sunday after a boating incident on Lake Lanier.

According to Mark McKinnon, public affairs officer with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, game wardens responded at about 6:30 p.m. to the incident on Lake Lanier near War Hill Park in Dawson County.

McKinnon said the incident involved a collision between two personal watercraft.

The girl sustained a broken leg in the incident and was flown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - Egleston Hospital in Atlanta.

Alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
