Gwinnett County authorities searching for missing Lilburn teen

The Gwinnett County Police Department has asked for the public's help finding a missing Lilburn teenager who was last seen in mid-May.

According to a press release from the agency, Leila Novljakovic, 15, was last seen at about 6 a.m. on May 16 at her home on Ridgewood Drive in Lilburn before leaving for school. Novljakovic is a student at Parkview High School. 

Her last known location was captured on her cell phone on June 5 in Atlanta.

Novljakovic was described as a white female with red hair and hazel eyes. She is about 5'9" inches tall and weighs 200 lbs. She was wearing grey sweatpants, a maroon shirt, black flip-flops with white writing and a pink backpack at the time she went missing. She has a tattoo of a heart with a circle on her left wrist, scarring on her left forearm and a piercing in her left nostril.

Gwinnett County School Police initially took the missing person report, but the Gwinnett County Police Department is now taking the lead in this investigation.
