Multiple people sustained minor injuries Tuesday in a multi-vehicle wreck on Sardis Road in Gainesville.
The accident happened around 3:45 p.m., according to the Georgia Department of Public Safety. A minor, 17, was traveling westbound on Sardis Road in a Dodge Charger behind another minor, 16, who was driving a Chevrolet Silverado.
The Silverado stopped behind a Kia Telluride. The Charger failed to stop in time and struck the Silverado in the rear. The impact forced the truck forward into the rear of the Kia Telluride, which struck the Kia Rondo in front of it.
The minor driving the Silverado, the driver of the Rondo, Aaliyah Ford, 18, and her passenger, Madeline Garrison, 18, were all transported to NGMC with minor injuries. The driver of the Charger also sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The minor driving the Charger has been charged with following too closely.
