City of Gainesville holding Meals on Wheels pet food drive

In recognition of Georgia Cities Week from April 23 to 29, the City of Gainesville will be hosting a pet food drive for cats and dogs belonging to Meals on Wheels clients.
 
The pet food drive will start on April 3 to 28, however, there will be an opportunity to contribute early at Mutts on Main Saturday on the historic downtown Gainesville square. Donations can be dropped off at the Main Street tent.
 
According to a press release from the city, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from April 3, pet food donations can be dropped off at one of the following locations:
 
  • Gainesville-Hall County Community Service Center, 430 Prior St. SE
  • Gainesville Administration Building, 300 Henry Ward Way
  • Gainesville Fire Department, 725 Pine St
 
Monetary donations can also be made online on the City of Gainesville’s official website and the Gainesville-Hall County Community Council on Agings website. Donations can be accepted via mail by sending a check made out to Gainesville-Hall County Meals on Wheels to:
