The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce held its sixth annual Healthy Hall Awards of Excellence luncheon on Wednesday and honored nominees for their contributions to health and wellness.
“There are over 500 healthcare providers service providers that employ 16,000 folks, that produces an annual wage of $1.2 billion dollars in our community, obviously very significant,” Greater Hall Chamber Chairman, William Bagwell said during the welcoming speech.
The luncheon started at 11:30 a.m. and was held at the Ramsey Conference Center at Lanier Technical College. Over 70 individuals and businesses were nominated for 11 different categories.
Medical Director of the Heart Failure Treatment and Recovery Center at Georgia Heart Institute, Ugochukwu Egolum, MD, FACC addressed the room as the keynote speaker and spoke about the medical advancements of the Georgia Heart Institute.

- Healthcare Worker of the Year - Stephanie Kirby Ayers, Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic
- Advanced Practice Provider of the Year (AGACNP) - Ashley Simpson, AGACNP, Georgia Heart Institute
- Advanced Practice Provider of the Year (NP-C) - Paige Owens, NP-C, Longstreet Clinic
- Nurse of the Year - Alan Satterfield, RN, District 2 Public Health Department
- Dentist of the Year - Ron Wilson, DMD, Wilson Orthodontics
- Physician of the Year (FACP) - Andre M. Kallab, MD, FACP, Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic
- Physician of the Year (FACOG) - Keshma Saujani, MD, FACOG, Longstreet Clinic OBGYN
- Lifetime Achievement Award - Tracy Vardeman, Northeast Georgia Health System
