Two people were arrested recently on theft and drug charges in Gwinnett County after allegedly stealing several game systems from a Buford Sam's Club.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, Christopher Deshawn Nealey, 23 of Snellville, and Jy'quan Lamon Wright, 25 of Powder Springs, are accused of committing the robbery on Feb. 19 at the Sam's Club on Buford Drive.

A social media post from the agency said North Precinct officers were dispatched to a theft call. When they arrived, they learned that the two suspects had taken several game systems from the store and fled in a Tesla.

Nealey and Wright were located a short distance away at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway as they were attempting to charge the electric vehicle.

Authorities seized the stolen property, several firearms and two pounds of suspected marijuana upon the arrest of the two suspects. The stolen property was valued at about $8,715.

Both suspects face a variety of charges, including felony theft by shoplifting, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime. Both remained in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond as of Monday morning.
