Hall County Sheriff’s Office charged a Gainesville man Tuesday with a domestic violence incident that happened last month in East Hall County.

Justin Kyle Loggins, 23, was taken into custody by the HCSO Warrant Service Unit Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 7, at the 3600 block of Holly Springs Road in Gillsville. Loggins was charged with felony aggravated assault and simple battery, both charges under the Family Violence Act.

“According to the preliminary investigation, Loggins punched the female victim, 24, in the back of her head, slammed her into a wall, struck her in her neck with a bottle and choked her,” Derreck Booth with the HCSO Public Information Office said in a release Wednesday morning.

The incident happened between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Jan. 18 at a residence on Miller Drive.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 8, Loggins remained in the Hall County Jail without bond. The case remains under investigation
