A mother and two children were displaced Tuesday after a fire tore through their travel trailer, with no injuries being reported.

Habersham County E-911 received a call of a fire at approximately 10:18 a.m. Tuesday along Gainesville Highway at Smokey Road, according to spokesman Rob Moore. The blaze was reportedly reaching as high as 30 feet.

Habersham County Emergency Services, Baldwin Fire Department and the Lee Arrendale State Prison Fire Department all responded to the call, Moore said Wednesday.

Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved travel trailer in the backyard of a mobile home.

“No injuries on the fire,” Habersham County Emergency Services Battalion Chief Dwight McNally said. “Everyone was outside of the residence, and it was a complete loss, unfortunately.”

The damage from the fire left a mother and two children displaced. The American Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the residents.

“There was no damage to other structures,” McNally said. “It was contained to the travel trailer of origin."
