A Gainesville man has been arrested and charged in connection with his alleged theft of a $58,000 tractor in the city.
The Gainesville Police Department said Jeremy Austin Roberson, 34, was charged with theft by receiving in connection with the theft of a Takeuchi skid steer.
The tractor was stolen from a construction site on Heritage Glen on October 29 and was found a short distance away. The agency said they believe the machine was driven to that location so that it could be picked up at a later time.
Roberson was arrested Monday at Gainesville Police Department headquarters.
The machine was returned to the owner, a local equipment rental company.
Roberson is being held in the Hall County Jail.
