Two people have been arrested following a reported home invasion Thursday night at a home on Sardis Road in northwest Hall County.

According to a press release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office, an initial investigation has determined two male suspects entered the home just after 6:30 p.m. and demanded money. One of the men, later identified as Jermarius Jarod Rowe, 28, of McDonough, had a pistol, which he brandished at the three occupants of the home.

The homeowner, Stephanie Dyer, 40, was armed and fired several shots in the direction of the two suspects. Dyer and the other occupants then fled the home and hid in nearby woods.

Deputies searched the area and eventually found and arrested Rowe. He was charged with home invasion, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, all felony offenses.

The other suspect fled the scene. Their identity has not been determined.

No one was injured in the incident.

Investigators also located inside the home a quantity of psilocybin mushrooms, a quantity of TCH oil, a bag containing $4,450 in cash and assorted drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the illegal narcotics is about $3,500.

Dyer was charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (2 counts), felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute (2 counts) and misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects.

The investigation continues.
