By Sydney Hencil Anchor/Reporter

A new collaborative visual arts program, Art Ties, will be coming to Suwannee and other surrounding communities on January 17.

The Gwinnett County Public Library, Suwanee and the Suwanee Arts Center are working together to provide art education for all ages, encouraging creativity and engagement in the visual arts.

According to a press release, the new Art Ties program will feature two Suwanee Arts Center Photographers: Traci Dickson, who will present “The Photographer’s Eye – The Wonder of Looking Closely,” for children ages 10-13; and Gary Bowlick, who will present “The Wonder of Photography: Light, Subject and Composition,” for adults interested in gaining knowledge about photography.

Both programs will start at 4 p.m. on January 17 at the Suwanee branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library located at 361 Main Street in historic Old Town Suwanee.

Art Ties was started by Suwanee Arts Center Board Member, Rhonda Starling, and Radha Ashok, Branch Manager of the Suwanee Public Library.
