Sisu receives donation from the Harris Products Group

The Harris Products Group is continuing to support Gainesville-based nonprofits, following its recent donation to Sisu Integrated Early Learning.

The Harris Products Group donated $25,000 to Sisu this spring. This is not the first donation the company has given to Sisu. Over the years, the Harris Products Group has given more than $285,000 to the school.

Sisu has used donations from the Harris Product Group to build new classrooms and improve playgrounds. The early learning school has also used donations to cover administrative costs.

Sisu gives children with special needs an opportunity to learn and interact with their typically-developing peers. Children enrolled at Sisu benefit from educational, therapeutic, nursing and support services.

Parents can enroll children as early as 6 weeks old, and Sisu can teach children up to 6 years old.

In a statement, Harris Product Group human resources manager Melissa Nolan said the company is proud to continue its charity contributions to Sisu.

“At Harris, we’re proud to continue our annual charity contribution to Sisu, our friend and neighbor,” Nolan said. “Over the years, many of our employees have had children enrolled at Sisu and we are happy to be able to support them both financially and as a good neighbor.”

The Harris Products Group is a Lincoln Electric company that produces and designs welding, brazing, soldering equipment, consumables and gas distribution systems.
