Gainesville Beach Bash to return Friday

By Sydney Hencil Anchor/Reporter

The Gainesville Beach Bash will be held on Friday, July 15 from 5-10 p.m at Lake Lanier Olympic Park, located at 3105 Clarks Bridge Road.

You can reserve a table on the grandstands for $50.  Parking will be available at 2500 Limestone Pkwy.  There will be a shuttle to and from the event that will run between 4:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.

“We couldn't be more excited to have Beach Bash returning for 2022,” said Lake Lanier Olympic Park Special Events Manager Morgan Wingler. “We've had a great start to our event season with Food Truck Fridays and Beach Bash takes things to another level.”

The plaza will be turned into a beach shore, with sand toys and a chance to discover “hidden treasures.”  Other activities include an inflatable waterslide, limbo and a hula dancing demonstration from local artist Fox Gradin.  The Gainesville Department of Water Resources, Macaroni KID, Burton Outdoor Adventures, SunHeist Eyewear, Capriluna, StrikeOne Racing and Safe Kids Northeast Georgia will have activities for everyone.

Food and beverages will be available from local companies such as Dowtown Drafts, Tap It Growlers, Chattahoochee Grill, Artisan Heat Bistro, Frozen Frenzee and more. Entertainment professionals, jB JAMS, will provide beachside music throughout the evening. Dock Rock Radio, "Atlanta’s Favorite Yacht Rock Experience", will play music from the ‘70s and ‘80s.
