Brian Rochester of Rochester & Associates has been elected to the Board of Directors for the M. Douglas Ivester & V. Kay Ivester Foundation. Rochester is the fifth director to be named to the board and the first director who is a resident of Hall County, Georgia, according to a press release from the foundation.

Rochester is Executive Vice President of Rochester & Associates, Georgia’s premier land development solution provider. With a focus on marketing and business development, Rochester assists clients with projects from the conceptual stage to point of execution. He has coordinated project feasibility issues such as zoning compliance, infrastructure design, and other due diligence issues for a variety of clients as well as managed large infrastructure projects.

He is a graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1987. Brian and his wife, Alana, have 3 grown children.

"As the Ivester Foundation enters its second decade, the board felt it appropriate to add a director who lives and works in Gainesville and Hall County," said Lynn J. Darby, president of the Ivester Foundation. "Brian’s deep knowledge and understanding of Gainesville and Hall County will be of great value to our board as the Foundation grows and expands our support for the institutions that serve the people of Hall County."

The M Douglas & V. Kay Ivester Foundation, Inc. was formed in 2011 and is dedicated to supporting the institutions that make the lives of the Citizens of Gainesville & Hall County better. The foundation strives to make the city and county a better place to live, raise a family, and gain the educational and work-related experiences which allow people to grow and contribute to the community.

In addition to Rochester and Darby, the current board of directors includes Swinton A. Griffith, Oliver C. Murray, and M. Douglas Ivester.

"Over the last decade, as the Ivester Foundation has worked to support Hall County and Gainesville, I have been privileged to get to know Doug and Kay Ivester, and the members of the Board of the Ivester Foundation," said Rochester. "I have come to understand and appreciate the long-term aspirations of the foundation and the dedication of the Ivesters to give back to our community...when approached, I immediately agreed to join the Board."
