Authorities have identified the homeless man found dead Thursday morning on Dorsey Street in Hall County.
Hall County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer B.J. Williams said Friday that Dan Parker Edwards, 49, was the man found deceased around 8 a.m. Thursday near the bridge over Flat Creek.
Investigators believe the man may have died a couple of days prior to the discovery due to the decomposition of the body.
Investigators found an ID at the scene, and staff from Good News at Noon confirmed the man's identity.
The man had reportedly been living under the Dorsey Street bridge. Williams said his cause of death was not known, but the death was not considered suspicious.
