PODCAST: Hard Left Turn - Blaney holds off Byron to score Michigan win

By AccessWDUN Staff

After plummeting through the field early in the running of Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway, Ryan Blaney made the most of the last restart and a shove from Kyle Busch to score his second win of the season.

Our Hard Left Turn crew takes a look at the action from the Irish Hills, including:

-Blaney's timely charge put him in victory lane and cemented him as a solid contender for the championship with the Playoffs set ot start in two weeks.

-While the Hendrick Motorsports cars showed some speed, they were by no means the dominant force they were earlier in the summer.

-In a race usually known for it's lack of action, Sunday's race with the 550 package showed a lot of promise for the future, with lots of action and close racing.

-Austin Dillon looked to have one of the strongest cars on the day, but a collision with Brad Keselowski at the end of the second segment of the race resulted in a heavy crash that ended Dillon's day.

Plus we'll have a look at the final race of NASCAR Cup Series "regular season", as the cutoff race is set for Saturday at Daytona.

WDUN will carry live MRN Radio coverage of Saturday night's NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 from Daytona Internatioal Speedway beginning at 6 pm on 102.9 FM, AM 550 and streaming live on AccessWDUN.
