Claudette washes out racing plans at several speedways

Mother Nature caused problems for several area race tracks over the weekend, as storms from tropical storm Claudette led to the cancellation of racing plans in the process.

Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway saw their scheduled local events derailed by storms and showers on Saturday. The track is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, June 26. Visit WinderBarrowSpeedway.com for more information.

It was a similar situation up the road at Georgia’s Hartwell Speedway, where afternoon storms forced track officials to call off the planned events on Saturday. For more information on the track’s schedule, check Hartwell-Speedway.com.

Things weren’t much better at West Georgia Speedway in Whitesburg, Georgia, as the persistent showers won out over the racers. The raceway is slated to return to action on Saturday, June 26. For schedule updates, visit WGSRacing.com.

Georgia’s Senoia Raceway was scheduled to play host to the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series for the annual Mike Head, Jr. Memorial on Saturday night. That event has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 28. Visit SenoiaRaceway1969.com and SASDirt.com for further schedule updates.
