Hartwell, Boyd’s set for 2021 openers this weekend

A pair of Peach State short tracks tops the list of area speedways and series opening their 2021 racing seasons this weekend.

Georgia’s Hartwell Speedway is slated to kick off the season on Saturday, March 13. The venerable 3/8-mile clay raceway will host racing in the Modified Street, Stock V8, Stock 4, 602, Young Guns, Limited Late Model, Front Wheel Drive and Open Wheel Modified divisions. Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia will open the season on Saturday as well with the annual Shamrock race at the historic 3/8-mile clay raceway. For more information, visit BoydsSpeedway.MyRacePass.com.

On asphalt, Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina will welcome racers and fans to the 3/8-mile paved oval on Friday, March 12.
