Dawsonville man arrested in drug trafficking bust in Forsyth County

A Dawsonville man and several people from Cumming have been arrested in connection to a drug investigation in North Forsyth County.

The Johns Creek and Forsyth County Drug Task Force (JCaF) were acting on a tip and began surveilling a suspected drug dealer's house, following the man to a local gas station.

A social media post from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said they tried to make contact with Levi Brown, 27, of Dawsonville, but he dropped his backpack and attempted flee. Deputies chased him and attempted to return his backpack. In it, they found 40 grams of methamphetamine, 92 LSD tablets, 15 ounces of GHB, 20 grams of marijuana, three amphetamine pills and a sawed-off shotgun.

A search warrant for the home led to the discovery of a large quantity of methamphetamine, various drug paraphernalia and counterfeit U.S. currency. 

Brown faces a list of charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a sawed off shotgun, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, multiple drug possession charges and several other charges.

Also arrested in the drug investigation by the JCaF were William Johnson, 61, Cumming; Marsha Baker, 61, of Cartersville; Shanna Anderson, 29, of Cumming; and Ivory Stone Guy, 25, of Cumming. 

All face possession of methamphetamine charges. Johnson also faces forgery and possession of a drug related object charges; Baker also faces a possession of any controlled substance Schedule III charge; and Guy faces an additional probation violation.
