ACWORTH — Both Lakeview Academy cross country qualified for the upcoming state meet on Tuesday at the Region 6-A Private meet AT Allatoona Creek Park.
The Lady Lions finished as region runners-up to Fellowship Christian. Senior Sara Nivens won the individual girls race with a new school-record time of 20:58. Virginia Cobb placed third with Millie Filson taking fifth.
In the boys race, Lakeview placed fourth to qualify for state as well. Senior Ryan Black placed fifth and junior Henry Stewart earned sixth to lead the boys.
Mt. Pisgah Christian won the boys meet.
