Gainesville Police searching for suspect in December armed robbery

The Gainesville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in obtaining more information about a Dec. 30, 2020 armed robbery at Walgreens on South Enota Drive.

According to a social media post from the department, an unidentified suspect entered the Walgreens just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 30, when he brandished a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and is believed to have gotten into a vehicle parked at a nearby business, according to the post.

The post also states an unknown customer was at the pharmacy drive thru at the time of the incident and could potentially have information about the case.

Gainesville Police are asking anyone with information to call 770-535-3783.
