By AccessWDUN Staff
As law enforcement investigators continue the search for a suspect in the murder of a Suwanee teenager, contributors have donated more than $25,000 to the victim's family.

The body of  William Slade Petty, 18, was discovered Monday morning at the Residences at McGinnis Ferry, according to the Suwanee Police Department. The teen had been stabbed multiple times. Investigators said they believe Petty likely was targeted in the attack.

According to a GoFundMe page, Petty was a 2020 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee.  Organizers say Petty's murder was the first in the city since 2012. All of the donations have been turned over to the family, according to those who organized the effort.
