Zack Mitchell and Chris Ferguson celebrated the Independence Day weekend in high style, with both scoring ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series victories.
Mitchell scored the win at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway on Friday night, while Ferguson drove to the victory at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina on Saturday night.
On Friday, Mitchell led flag-to-flag en route to the win at Lavonia Speedway. The Enoree, South Carolina native picked up a $4,141 payday with the victory at the 3/8-mile dirt oval.
It’s Mitchell’s eight career series victory and his third of the season.
Ross Bailes finished in second, with Brent Dixon in third, Chris Ferguson in fourth and Cla Knight in fifth.
Anthony Sanders, Johnny Pursley, Jeff Smith, Brian Connor and Dennis Franklin rounded out the top 10.
On Saturday night, Chris Ferguson held off Ross Bailes to score the win at Cherokee Speedway.
The win was worth $5,000 for the Mount Holly, North Carolina competitor.
Bailes had to settle for second, with fast qualifier Dennis Franklin in third, John Henderson in fourth and Trent Ivey in fifth.
Anthony Sanders, Johnny Pursley, Corey Gordon, Cla Knight and Zack Mitchell rounded out the top 10.
