*The 18th annual John Jarrard  Foundation Concert will be held on the front lawn at Brenau University Sept. 28, rain or shine.  For more details, including ticket information, click here.

 *The Pam Ware Performing Arts Center at Gainesville High School presents "You Can't Take It With You" on September 24-26. All performances begin at 7:30, with doors opening at 6:30.  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets can also be purchased online at ghs2445.booktix.com. Season tickets are also available. For additional information, email [email protected].

*Angel Price, an employee at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Gainesville, was recently presented with the “Team Member of the Year” award. This award is the company’s top honor for restaurant team members. Price is one of just four team members selected this year from the more than 30,000 LongHorn Steakhouse employees in North America.

*The 2019 Hall County Marching Exhibition, featuring bands from all seven Hall County high schools and Riverside Military Academy, will be held at East Hall High School September 24. The gates will open at 5:00 and the performances begin at 6:30.

*The T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League Bulldog Division will wrap up the tournament season for anglers with a two-day BFL Super Tournament on Lake Lanier, Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $11,000 and $4,500 respectively in the two-day event at Laurel Park.  

*Thanks to a donation from the Rabun County Music Festival Association, the Rearden Auditorium at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School has four new Fulcrum Acoustic speakers.

*Piedmont College’s resident professional piano quintet, Piedmont Camerata, will present a free concert at 4:00 September 29 in the Chapel on the Demorest campus.

*The Sugar Hill Business Alliance has donated $5,000 to the new Sugar Hill Veterans Memorial Plaza.
