Meredith motors to Late Model Stock win at Anderson

Neil Meredith drove to the lead in Friday night’s Late Model Stocks feature at Anderson Motor Speedway, and went on to score his first feature win of the season at the Williamston, South Carolina raceway.

Meredith, from Anderson, South Carolina, started alongside pole sitter, Ashton Higgins, but soon moved to the point. From there, he drove to the victoroy at the 3/8-mile asphalt speedplant.

Higgins finished in second, with Nicholson, Georgia’s Taylor Satterfield in third, David Roberts in fourth and Zach Bruenger in fifth.

Brandon Lemke, Ron Hall, Archie Adams, Kenneth Headen and R.A. Brown rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Chris Whitfield and Ryan Howard split the wins in a pair of Limited Late Model features.

In the first feature, Shane Brown finished in second, with Anthony Adams in third, Howard in fourth and Steve Carver in fifth.

Adams finished in second in the second feature, followed by Chris Whitfield in third, Brown in fourth and Maxx Porter in fifth.

Zack Franks took home the victory in the BM Modifieds feature, with Austin Northcutt in second, Bryan Mitchell in third, Adam Callaham in fourth and Trent Smith in fifth.

David Darnell took top honors in the Mini Stock feature. Ryan Howard finished in second, with Chad Campbell in third, Ben Kay in fourth and Jeff Turner in fifth.

Jason Marchbanks was the winner in the US Legends feature, with William Cox, Caleb Heady, Randy Gunton and Karl Moberg rounding out the top five.

In the Pure Stock feature, Andrew Cordell held off Alex Guthrie for the victory. Rodger Gentry finished third, with Dereck Burgess fourth and Anthony Cordell fifth.

Scott Parker scored his sixth Front Wheel Drive feature win of the season, with Leo Asher in second, Allen Porter in third, Manuel Molleda in fourth and Tommy Davis in fifth.
