*Emmy-nominated television writer Yahlin Chang will be Brenau University's spring graduation commencement speaker this year.  The ceremonies will be held May 4-5.  For nearly 20 years, Chang has written for such TV shows as The Handmaid’s Tale, ER and Supergirl.  Also Shades of Blue, Pan Am, Dirty Sexy Money, Ed and Pure Genius.

*Lakeview Academy's Reed Butler is the first-place winner of the 9th District Congressional Art Competition.  Butler's work, "Reading Bear," will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year, according to U.S. Rep. Doug Collins.  Second-place went to Aisha Iyengar of North Forsyth High School and Lauren Varga, also from North Forsyth, placed third.
