By AccessWDUN Staff
Two students are in custody following threats against separate schools in Forsyth County on Thursday, Jan. 31.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said in a social media statement that the threats involved students from Denmark High School and North Forsyth Middle School.

The first alleged threat was levied against Denmark High. Investigators said a 17-year-old male student made a threat to harm himself and threatened the school, as well.

"Our deputies quickly converged on the home where the male was living. FCSO investigated and determined the 17-year-old made the threats and we promptly placed him under arrest for Terroristic Threats and Disruption of a Public School," said a post on FCSO's Facebook page.

The teen was arrested and taken to the Forsyth County Jail. Investigators said the suspect was never on the Denmark campus.

Meanwhile, as investigators were working on the threat against Denmark High, they were called to North Forsyth Middle School, where a student allegedly made a verbal threat.

"The juvenile was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats and removed from the school. There was never a danger at the school today from this threat," the Facebook post stated.

The middle school student's case will be handled by the juvenile court, according to FCSO.
