An East Hall county home is a total loss after a fire early Monday morning.
The home in the 3400 block of Chipmunk Trail was half involved in flames when Hall County Fire crews arrived around 1 a.m., according to a statement from spokesman Zach Brackett.
Brackett said crews used an offensive attack to extinguish the fire, and as a result the 3,000 square foot home suffered heavy fire and water damage. "It does appear to be a total loss, as far the home is concerned, we don't have a dollar figure yet," said Brackett.
Two people who lived at the home wre not injured. "They had discovered the fire and they had exited the structure, there's a total of two occupants that live at the home, and they had refused any American Red Cross Assistance at this time."
The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
