DAWSONVILLE – Jasper Gibson does whatever it takes to win
The Dawson County junior guard's play this season has been a welcomed addition to coach Chad Pittman's program.
Gibson transferred to Dawson over the summer when his father, Jason Gibson, former and Jefferson girls coach, took the athletics director job at the school. Spin the clock forward to January, and Gibson is a vital piece to this Tiger team.
He's averaging close to 20 ppg and, since the new year, he’s averaged 24.5 ppg, including 30 points in a win over Region 7-3A rival East Hall last week.
His play has earned him this week’s Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the Week.
We caught up with Gibson and Pittman to talk about his play, the team's play and what it's going to take to make a run in the playoffs.
