Gainesville fought off a hot start by East Hall to rally to the win its third-straight Lanierland Tournament title last weekend at West Hall High School.
Rafael Rubel was instrumental in the Red Elephants' success in this year's tournament. He tallied 51 points in all three games, including 12 in the championship against the Vikings. His overall performance earned the tournament MVP award.
For that reason, Rubel has been named this week’s Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the Week.
