JEFFERSON — Jefferson High has played football since the 1940s -- but never have the Dragons had a night like this on the scoreboard.
Jefferson racked up a program-best 70 points in a 70-0 defeat of East Jackson on Friday night in Jefferson.
Zac Corbin scored on two touchdown runs, while Kade McNally, Colby Clark, Donsha Gaither and a host of other Dragons blasted their way into the zone for Jefferson in their Region 8-3A opener.
Gaither paced the Dragons (4-1, 1-0 Region 8-3A) with 96 yards rushing on 4 carries, while Clark added 90 yards on 7 rushes.
Jefferson travels to Franklin County next week.
