A Buford woman has been charged in the death of her husband, according to Gwinnett County Police Department investigators.
Detective Sam Flynn said police were called to 5871 Apple Grove Road in Buford around 1 a.m. Saturday.
"At approximately 1 a.m., neighbors called to report a person down in the middle of the road. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 39-year-old black male deceased of an apparent gunshot wound," Flynn wrote in an email statement.
Around 11 a.m., authorities released the name of the victim, identifying him as Montez Love-Bullock.
At the same time, they announced the arrested of the victim's wife, Christy Love-Bullock, 39, as the suspect in the case.
Christy Love-Bullock has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and felony murder.
At this point, detectives have not said what the motive in the murder might have been. The investigation is ongoing.
