Jackson County Sheriff's Office investigators are concerned about a man they say was behaving suspiciously around a school bus Tuesday morning.
Sheriff Janus Mangum said the man pulled into a driveway on Harris Lord Cemetery Road, which is in the eastern part of the county, where students were waiting on a school bus.
"The subject rode by, stopped in the road, looked at them, turned around, came back and pulled into the driveway," Mangum said. "They actually went into the house at this time. When the bus came, they came out, got their bags and got on the bus."
Mangum said the situation got even more strange after that.
"He pulled behind the bus," Mangum said. "Then, he went another direction when the bus turned toward the school."
Mangum said they intend to return to the home in the event the man returns. She added they are not sure of the man's intent, but would like to talk to him.
Mangum said they are looking for a silver, four door vehicle that is possibly a Mercury.
