Fire investigators don't know the cause yet, but they said a vehicle caught fire inside a building at a car dealership on Browns Bridge Road early Thursday morning.
The sprinkler system at Hardy Chevrolet was able to contain the fire to the area until fire crews arrived shortly before 2 a.m., according to an email from Gainesville Fire Division Chief Keith Smith.
Smith said the Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
The business is open while the investigation is underway.
No further details were released.
