Cherokee authorities looking for other victims of Woodstock music teacher

CHEROKEE COUNTY – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is using social media in an attempt to discover any possible unreported cases of Crimes Against Children by a man who offered music lessons out of his Woodstock residence.

Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Marianne Kelly said Jason Young, 37, "is currently in our custody charged with two counts of Aggravated Child Molestation."  She said he was arrested on July 9th without incident.

"We're just looking for any other victims out there that may have taken music lessons from him in his home here in unincorporated Woodstock," Kelly added.

The sheriff's office is asking all families with children who received music lessons from Young to contact the sheriff’s office if they have not yet done so, even if they do not suspect any misdeeds.

"Obviously, we hope that there are no more cases - that would be the ideal situation - but we wanted to let everybody know what is going on," Kelly explained.
