Borg leaving White County for cross country, associate AD position at North Hall

By AccessWDUN Staff

White County High School basketball and cross country coach Sam Borg announced on Friday that he will be leaving the Warriors to be associate athletic director, teach Spanish and coach cross country at North Hall in Gainesville.

Borg has spent seven years in Cleveland, which includes five straight winning seasons for the basketball program and three state playoff appearances, as well as several strong performances for the cross country program.

In en email Borg termed the decision the hardest he has had to make in his life, but that the draw to be closer to his wife and family was the determining factor.

Borg will stay on to coach the Warriors basketball program through June while the school searches for a new boys team coach.
