VIDEO: After 22 seasons, Dix discusses a lifetime of hoops in Hall County

GAINESVILLE — In high school coaching terms, 22 years might as well be a lifetime. 

And after 22 years, Joe Dix is ready for a new challenge and a life away from East Hall boys basketball.

It was far from an easy choice, but the coach, who led the Vikings for 14 years and spent eight seasons as an assistant (winning three state titles in the process), is ready for a new challenge after accepting the same position at Collins Hill High in Gwinnett County.

As he prepared for life with the Eagles, Dix sat down with AccessWDUN sports editor Morgan Lee to discuss the decision, his continued love for Valhalla and what the future holds...
