ROYSTON — The North Hall girls golf team joined Union County and Dawson County as area teams to qualify for the Class 3A state tournament on Thursday.
The Lady Trojans finished third overall, while the Lady Panthers won the Area 3-3A tournament and the Lady Tigers finished fifth at Highland Walk Golf Course at Victoria Bryant State Park in Royston.
North Hall shot a team score of 298, while Union carded a 259 and Dawson County a 313.
Lyric Sanford paced the Lady Trojans with a 96, finishing ninth overall. Anika Cain also carded a 98 for North Hall. Willow Hill also carded a 106, and Hannah Brock also played for the Lady Trojans.
The area trio of teams will play in the Class 3A state championship at Cateechee Golf Course in Hartwell May 21-22.
