RABBITTOWN — East Hall kept up its strong start to the Region 7-AAA season on Tuesday, notching a 4-1 win over Lumpkin County in Rabbittown.
Trey Campbell helped lock down the victory for the Vikings (8-5, 3-1 Region 7-3A), pitching 6 1/3 innings and striking out 12 Indians batters. Campbell allowed just 1 earned run on 2 hits -- both came in the first inning. Campbell retired 14 Lumpkin batters in a row.
Tripp Rider and a Mike Matuska were both went 2-for-3 at the plate and Taylor Smith provided 2 RBI.
East Hall travels to Lumpkin County on Wednesday in Dahlonega.

NORTH OCONEE 1
The Dragons (8-5, 1-0 Region 8-4A) scored two runs in the top of the seventh to come from a run down and open the Region 8-4A campaign with a win on Tuesday in Bogart.
Sammy Elegreet went 2 for 3, including a double, and scored a run, while Lane Watkins had Jefferson's other hit and scored the Dragon's other run.
Patrick Hickox scattered 5 hits and allowed just one run in earning the win in a complete game performance.
The Dragons play host to North Oconee at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

WEST FORSYTH 3
The Raiders racked up 14 hits en route to the lopsided, 5-inning win on Tuesday in Cumming.
Evan Johnson helped pace the offensive outburst, going 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored and an RBI. Meanwhile, Miles Hartsfield provided a triple and a double, and Garrett Staton went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI. Carter Mullikin also went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI, and Caleb Vercek had 2 hits and 3 RBI.
Tyler Fairchild pitched a complete game in earning the win, allowing 2 hits, 3 runs (2 earned) and 4 walks. Fairchild also struck out 7 batters.
North Forsyth (13-3, 2-2 Region 5-7A) exploded for 11 runs in the top of the second to take control of the game.
HEBRON CHRISTIAN 10,
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 8
Campbell Melson went 2-for-3 with 4 RBI for the Lions in a loss on Tuesday in Gainesville.
Skyler Thellman also went 2-for-4 with 2 doubles for Lakeview, while Sam Stewart added a triple and 2 runs scored. JD Roark also went 2-for-4, and KJ Millwood and Holden Cooper each singled.
The Lions (6-7) will play host to Tallulah Falls at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
