Area hoops stars ready to shine one last time at Saturday's North Georgia All-Star Classic

By AccessWDUN Staff

GAINESVILLE — The 2018 high school basketball season provided some incredible moments and even a slice of history. And a number of the players that made that happen will provide fans with one last moment of brilliance on Saturday when northeast Georgia senior standouts take part in the seventh North Georgia All-Star Classic in Gainesville.

The All-Star festivities will begin at noon at the Gainesville High School gym, beginning with a skills challenge. A 3-point challenge will follow at 1 p.m., with a slam dunk contest to take place at 2 p.m. Judges for the contest include former University of Georgia All-American and current ESPN college football analyst David Pollack, as well as former Atlanta Falcon Jerious Norwood. Former Johnson High standout and current collegiate player Ty Cockfield will also take part in the panel.

The girls all-star game will commence at 3 p.m., with the boys contest to immediately follow.

Rosters for each team include plenty of collegiate-bound talent, as Hall County standouts battle stars from throughout the area. (NOTE: Rosters have been updated)
