By Ken Stanford Reporter

An angler from Oklahoma is in the lead after Day 1 of the four-day FLW Bass Tournament on Lake Lanier.

A cold wind prevailed all day Thursday with Bradley Hallman forging into the lead with five bass weighing 23 pounds, 11 ounces.   Dawsonville's Jason Johnson, who also caught five, is in ninth place.  His catch weighed 18 pounds, four ounces.  Gainesville's Dave Nichol sits in 13th place, with five bass weighing 17 pounds, six ounces.

More than 180 participants turned in their catches at 3:00 Thursday afternoon at Laurel Park.  The tournament continues daily through Sunday.
