A Barrow County man remains hospitalized in a near coma after a confrontation over a handicapped parking space.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports David Payne, 63, had just pulled into the spot at Fatz restaurant in Winder Saturday night when he was confronted by another person who, according to Payne's wife, was questioning if he should be allowed to park there.
During the confrontation, Payne fell to the ground and struck his head, according to the paper. He was taken to Athens Regional Hospital.
Investigators are now asking for help in finding a suspect, asking people with information, video or a pictures of the incident to contact them.
