*The Union County High School duo of Cole Davis and Dillan Snow won the recent 2018 TBF/FLW High School Fishing Lake Hartwell Early Bird Challenge.  Complete results from the event can be found at HighSchoolFishing.org.

*Barrow County Emergency Services announces the addition of a fire inspector to the Fire Marshal’s office. Lt. Tyrees Jones brings over 22 years of experience to the position. He most recently spent five years with the Johns Creek Fire Department as a Fire Suppression Captain.

*Dawson County Emergency Services Explorer Post 58 came home from Winterfest in February with the following awards:  Rapid Rescue and Resuscitation – 1st Place and ZDrag – 3rd Place. Team members were Jacob Bragg, Michaela Brauda, Dawson Hoopaugh, Cody Jordan and DJ Mitchell. 

*Need fishing tips for Georgia reservoirs and rivers? Look no further than the updated fishing prospects on the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division website.  These web pages provide in-depth information detailing 32 reservoirs and 18 rivers in one convenient location - http://georgiawildlife.com/fishing-prospects.  Included are Lake Lanier and the Chattahoochee River.

*The Hall County Republican Party's March Forum will feature gubernatorial candidate Clay Tippins; Rick Knox, a candidate for Lt. Governor; and state Representative and Secretary of State candidate Buzz Brockway.   The forum will be held at party headquarters on Queen City Parkway March 10, starting with a "meet and greet" at 8:30 a.m. followed by the program at 9:00.
