Two residential fires that shut down Athens Highway Monday have been determined to be arson.
Hall County Fire Captain Zach Brackett said in an email update they are asking the public to contact them or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline if they have any information about the fires. Contact phone numbers are at the end of this article.
The fires at 3330 and 3380 Athens Highway resulted in the East Hall County road shut down during the afternoon as crews tackled the fires. The homes were 1,000 and 2,000 square feet.
No one was injured.
