One person was seriously injured in a head-on crash just north of Gainesville early Wednesday afternoon.
Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said a full-size SUV was traveling northbound on Morningside Drive near Riverside Drive and traveled across the center line, hitting a minivan head-on.
"The driver of the SUV was extricated from the vehicle and transported to NGMC in serious condition," Holbrook said in an email statement.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m., according to Holbrook.
Names of those involved were not made available.
