A Hall County school bus driver was cited in a Tuesday afternoon accident that injured the driver of a minivan.
The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said the bus driver was traveling southbound on Athens Highway (GA 11) around 1:35 p.m. when she crossed into the northbound lane of traffic and struck a minivan.
Shelia Janney, 55, of Talmo was cited for failure to maintain lane, according to a press release from GSP. She was not injured.
There were no students on the bus at the time of the accident.
The driver of the van was identified as Graciela Mercado, 63, of Gainesville. Troopers said she suffered visible injuries in the crash and she was transported to the hospital for treatment. A minor in the minivan was not injured.
