Buford stomps Loganville, 43-0

LOGANVILLE — Buford football maintained its stranglehold on Region 8-5A on Friday courtesy a 43-0 defeat of Loganville in Loganville.

The Wolves (6-2, 3-0 Region 8-5A) scored 27 first quarter points to stamp their authority on the contest, including two touchdown passes for Aaron McLaughlin.

The sophomore quarterback completed 7 of 9 passes for 119 yards and three scores -- one each to Drew Gutierrez, Austin Turner and Xyrie Wilson. Meanwhile, Derrian Brown rushed 15 times for 164 yards and two touchdowns.

Brown's first score came on a 1-yard plunge at the end of the first quarter. He added a 12-yard run in the third quarter.

Davin Bryant alo had a 92-yard fumble return in the first quarter, while the Wolves also forced a safety in the second quarter as they took a 36-0 lead into the locker room.

Buford has a bye next week.
