Martin Elementary School officials evacuated the school Tuesday morning after a water heater malfunction.
Hall County Fire Services Captain Zach Brackett said the heater was discharging steam and that resulted in a fire alarm pulled for safety.
Students were evacuated briefly and Brackett said the students had returned inside around 8:20 a.m. The initial call came in at 7:55 a.m.
Brackett said everything turned out to be fine.
