The top 64 players after the first two rounds of stroke play will move to the match play portion of the week-long event. The projected cut based was at 4-over par.

Ralston started on No. 10 at Bel-Air and after a par on his opening hole he bogeyed No. 11 but then recorded back-to-back birdies on Nos. 12 and 13 to get to 4-over par. He pared the next five holes but fell back to even on the day and 5-over for the tournament with a bogey on No. 2, his 11th holes of the round. He birdied No. 5 but bogeys on Nos. 6 and 9 dropped back to 7-over.
